About

With a focus on sourcing the highest quality local (and regional) wood and increasing our sustainability by using every piece of the wood, Midnight Hour Woodworking creates high quality cutting boards, charcuterie boards, and serving trays.  While we may manipulate the wood to create gorgeous yet useful products, the wood we work with stays true to its roots. Each piece crafted in our woodshop in beautiful Vermont is unique with its own story to tell - no two boards will be alike.

Hello

We're the Barlows

We're Greg and Ally and we took our passion for woodworking and handcrafting unique products and opened Midnight Hour Woodworking in August 2020.

When we aren't creating, you can find us spending time with our daughters,

Georgia and Charlotte, and dogs or out in the Vermont wilderness!

Why Midnight Hour Woodworking?

Woodworking started as a hobby and a way for us to save some money while repairing our first home, which was a 200 year old farmhouse. Along the way, we've honed in our skills to focus on creating beautiful cutting boards and charcuterie boards. Rather than stay a side hobby, Midnight Hour Woodworking has grown into our second job and our first family-owned business. After our main jobs are done for the day and our daughters are asleep, we then work on crafting the boards you see here and at local farmers markets and craft fairs, typically between the hours of 9 p.m. and 12 a.m. Hence, Midnight Hour Woodworking. While other woodworkers are sleeping, we're creating!
